Heart rate 200 while rollerblading

Sure it was accurate reading? These are not EKG accuracy level device tech.

 

Many discover that when HR goes high, it can stop reading higher, or it stops reading in general, or it can read high too (though that is rare).

 

Next time you see it hit 180 on device, coast and take pulse for 10 seconds - should be almost 30.

Was that correct?

 

Could try a 192 also, and 10 sec count would be almost 32.

 

Confirm you are good at manually reading pulse, especially when high.

 

But you indeed could be hitting that level. How long have you been doing this, how fit are you in general?

Were you like totally totally out of breath, breathing heavy was all you could do, no speaking of words would have been possible?

 

If this is indeed true, it likely means the Fitbit estimated HRmax is wrong, yours is higher, and therefore you are being given an inflated calorie burn for exercise.

That is what matters in the scheme of things.
