Hi there,
I'm completely new to working out and tracking my food and am really just starting to learn about everything. I have a fitbit flex and have been working out with Leslie Sansone's DVD's everyday. I really enjoy it and have even been seeing results! (Background info, I'm female, 25 and a little over 300 pounds).
My question is regarding burned calories. The attached image shows two days of activities.
On Saturday I burned 3,627 calories and walked 4.82 miles, while on Wednesday I burned 3,680 calories and walked 6.41 miles. My concern is that on Saturday all I did was 2 Leslie Sansone workouts and ran errands. I went grocery shopping, ran into a few stores, and then had dinner at my mother in laws. Wednesday I did 4 Leslie Sansone workouts, took a 25 minute walk outside, and swept and mopped my apartment along with cooking dinner and some other household things.
I'm not complaining about either number, I just don't understand how I put forth so much effort on Wednesday and got basically the same burn from Saturday when I did half the activity. Again, I'm new at this so maybe there's something more to it that I'm unaware of.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Simply Smile
I'm a fairly new user to but I would hazard a guess that you need to log those work outs in the a
"Track your exercise" sector this will then adjust the number of calories burnt.
If you don't then your fitbit flex thinks that you are just walking steps.
There lots of activities listed in the section and after you have entered the duration it can automatically calculate the extra calories burned.
Give it a try ☺

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if the leslie sansone dvds can be used with a pedometer to measure steps...basically does it qualify?

@turtlecatmagic It will be my pleasure to help you! Thanks for the screenshot that you attached. Since, you mentioned that on Wednesday you did 4 Leslie Sansone workouts and that activity requires more than just steps you should log the activity in order to improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn.
Any activity that requires more than just steps should be log in your Dashboard like tennis or yoga. Any other activity that's step based like walking or running shouldn't be log.
@melly11 Thanks for the input
@trudidockins As mentioned above you should log the activity.
