Same here. I wonder why I would need to join a Facebook group for motivation. Fitbit already provides this, what with friends, challenges, forums etc.
And "unbelievably high" step counts don't impress me, for the reason explained here.

Opps. Deleted this comment. I didn't notice the number of steps being reported was for two weeks, and not a whole month.
Best Answer@gerrymcd It was posted on the 15th of the month, so it was for at least 14 days, not the whole month.
Doesn't matter as long as people are stepping.
