Horse riding with a fitbit tracker

Has anyone used their Fitbit device while doing English style horse riding? (it can be done with Western but I don't do that type of riding)  I do and I use the Workout preset. It's awesome because you can see your heart rate when you attempt a trot, canter and jump. Also, you can see the calories that you burnt off and it's a great way to put in all your daily steps.

Does anyone know of any good type of workouts that help improve your riding skills?

@robman501a it sounds like you are putting your little buddy to great use. I don't horseback ride and I don't think the tracker was ever intended for it, but clearly it shows you what is important to you!

Yoga and Barr are great for your core and stamina, both of which you need for riding. The real bonus I find with Barr is the focus on thighs, regular classes really build strength and flexibility, which are useful during your ride and keep you from being stiff after a long ride. Hope that helps.
