Hi y'all - (I posted this in the Charge HR help forum, but it occurred to me that might not be the best place for this.) Just a brief history, I started with My Fitness Pal, which I use for food, water, and logging calories from exercise. Then I added Map My Fitness for workouts, and connected those two apps together. This is great for outdoor exercise, but not so much for indoor activities, such as my indoor bike, Wii fitness, or zumba, etc. When I log an indoor bike ride, for example, Map My Fitness records the time with an estimated calorie burn. I then manually input the distance I rode (from my bike readout) and Map My Fitness recalculates average speed and calories. However when Map My Fitness sends the data to My Fitness Pal, something gets lost in translation and I have to manually adjust the speed & calories over there. Kind of annoying. I bought the fitbit with this in mind, hoping to get a more accurate record of the indoor stuff. I connected the fitbit with My Fitness Pal, and so far (just two days since I bought the fitbit) I've been happy with that. So... I just logged my first indoor bike workout. I wasn't sure how to proceed, so I used the fitbit AND also Map My Fitness. Both are connected to My Fitness Pal, but not to each other. Now this is showing on my fitbit dashboard as two workouts, neither of them with the "correct" information!

Map My Fitness, as usual, sent the wrong data to My Fitness Pal, and then MFP sent it right along to fitbit, which logged it as a separate workout than the one it had just recorded itself - and which was also incorrect as it didn't have the right distance. Grrr! I'm thinking I will need to eliminate Map My Fitness from this equation, but really could use some advice. My Fitness Pal says to log my exercise directly with them, which it will transmit to fitbit. But isn't that beside the point of HAVING a fitbit in the first place? And if I manually input this to MFP, won't it just continue to give me a "double workout" in my fitbit dashboard? Honestly I'm too right-brained for this, lol. Help a confused, artsy girl out here.

Thanks in advance!
😉 Awen
