I am hitting my step target almost every day and often exceed it, but not my calorie burn. I walk my dog, walk to the shops and am active during the day which is how I am hitting my walking target but am nearly always below my calorie burn by hundred or so. Any ideas as to how I can improve my performance?

Add strength training to your routine, go for a run instead of just walking, go up stairs or floors, add in jumping jacks or jumping rope when possible.
Increasing your heart rate will increase your caloric burn.
