Fantastic @voltsdrive! having a goal to reach and determination along with motivation can really push us to do things like that and we end up doing more and more everyday. ![]()

Thanks to Fitbit:
Came into work today with my gym bag to get my fifth straight day of exercise in (been a long time since that happened). Realized I forgot to bring a towel as I changed in the locker room. My solution? Running the 2.5 mile round trip to Target to buy a cheap towel. Had this been prior to Fitbit, I think I would've forgone the workout. Feeling good.
I know this is an older thread, but I was laughing reading it because I did kind of the same thing yesterday.
I couldn't go to the gym because of my son's car issues, but it's way too hot (over 100F even though it's September now) to run outside . . . what was I going to do? I have my first race coming up in a week and a half, so I want to be as close to ready as I can be.
This is a slow period where I work, so my office is deserted late in the day. And I had to stay later than normal work hours anyway because I had to pick up my son. So . . . I propped open two of the interior doors and ran laps in my office.
It was actually kind of nice because they set the AC insanely low and the floors are carpeted. Ran two miles and then called it a day.

Thanks! I measured it today. It takes almost 29 laps to run a mile because the laps are so short. I'm probably doing it again tonight because my son's truck is STILL not fixed.

It's actually kind of fun in a weird sort of way. Kind of like you're doing something you shouldn't, but if you got caught no one would be mad.
I just finished today's Office Run. 2.81 miles in 41 minutes. I seriously measured my "track" earlier today. 200 "heel to toe" steps for each lap x 11" foot length x 81 laps = 2.81 miles.
And I though I'd never use math after I graduated...!
I love it! Running to buy a towel! Awesome!
It reminds me of this one here:

Hahaha I know @Raviv, the math dilema. Yeah I think it's very helpful and I'm surprised sometimes about how much we can do in one hour, is definitely possible and beneficial.
LOL @Mermaid3011, you got it! good luck with the challenge. ![]()
