Old time user of Zip but first time user of One

Lost my Fitbit Zip a few weeks ago, so finally decided to get a One because it tracked activity as well as daily totals.  Also have a Garmin 910XT gps sports watch with chest strap HRM for more accuracy during actual activity.

Went for a walk along the Ocean City boardwalk this early morning.

Here are the metrics using both the devices:

Ocean City Walk
10/25/2015

61 degrees out starting, 8 mph winds, nighttime.

2:04:26 elapsed (some pauses to listen to the sounds of the waves on the beach)
   4:24 AM start
   6:46 AM end

Garmin Forerunner 910XT metrics:

6.27 miles
14,072 steps
3.63 mph avg
5.40 mph avg (max) (for about 4 minutes)
803 cals
102 bpm heart rate
154 bpm max heart rate
19:51 mins/mile pace (time)
11:03 mins/mile pace (max time)
19.85 mins/mile pace (dec)

Fitbit One metrics:

As this was new device for me, forgot to start activity until about 8 minutes later than actual start

1:56:00 elapsed

5.8 miles (activity)
7.0 miles (total miles as of 9:07 am)
14,557 steps (activity)
16,466 steps (total steps as of 9:07 am)
711 cals (activity)
1,377 cals (total cals as of 9:07 am)
127 active minutes (as of 9:07 am)

@LewWagner Good to see you post. You will fine the One very accurate and it you aren't worried about the exact seconds on an activity you will have no issues. When the One sync to the server it either drops off or rounds up the seconds to minutes. I did the the test the other day for another topic. All of the wrist type sync to the second but that doesn't phase me.

When you forget or delay the activity button on the One you can create another activity log which I'm sure with your years with the Zip would have used that feature.

Doing so, you can have an exact comparison of your Garmin without deleting the other Logged activity.

But adding another 24 minutes to your One activity will make a massive variation in the step count.
