Premium

Is anyone using premium? If so is it worth the price and how does it differ from the non-premium account?

Welcome to the forums!

There is a free 1 week trail where you can check it out to see if it is worth it to you.

I would get a good weeks worth of data loaded,  food & exercise before you try it though.

I have premium. One thing I really love about Premium is that it straight up tells me how many calories I should be eating at what times during the day and whether or not I'm achieving that goal. There is also a graph of how many carbs, fats and protien you eat so you can see where most of your calories come from. I like that it rates my activity level. I started out (May 15th) Sedentary and now I've bumped up to being Lightly Active.

I think the sleep section is completely worthless. It only tells you the average amount of sleep you get verses others. I also don't care about the trainer. The trainer just gives you goals for how many calories to burn each week to challenge you to be more active.

Overall I like it right now because I'm new to this type of lifestyle. I never seriously counted caloires, I never paid attention to my activity levels. I am not very informed when it comes to nutrition and exercise. I will not be purchasing it next year, however.

I signed up for a year a couple of years ago, looked at the data a couple of times, and then promptly forgot about it. I didn't renew it the next year.  Exercising daily is taxing enough for me, I'm too lazy to keep track of it beyond that.

If you are interested in the nutrition content of the food you eat, it is wonderful.   It not only give you fat/carb/protein percentages, but also the fiber, calcium, potassium and sodium content.  I found that I didn't lose weight on the days when I ate food prepared outside my home because the sodium content was astronomical, and I retained too much water.... This was helpful to me.

The comparisons are one more incentive to work harder if you are competitive....

If neighter of those things apply to you, then it probably won't be worth the money.
