Did you mean:

Retiring my FitBit for 3-4 months....

....due to major surgery happening later today:  getting a right ankle replacement and also getting a new ligament.  Will be in a wheelchair for a minimum of 6 weeks since NO weight can be placed on the foot....and then only slowly will I be allowed to use it.

So charging up the FitBit just to place it in a drawer.....first time since Nov. 2009

Sorry to hear about the surgery, @modiver, and wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery.  Be sure to closely follow you doctor's and PT's instructions so that you do not rush putting weight on the surgery area, and your recovery will go much better.

Here it is.....just 4 days after surgery and I'd be lying if I said all I is going well. The pain level is a 12 out of 10 when the last 20 minutes of the 4 hour dose is wearing off.

Going to the Doc tomorrow for the first post op look see to make sure all is healing as it should. This is going to be a very long recovery but I knew that going into it. Just wish the painkillers worked a little longer than the 4 hours.

And many thanks for all of the well-wishes.
