My company is using the fitbit to track steps for our wellness program. My problem is I like to rock climb, but it doesn't log steps for that. The activity tracker has a "Rock Climbing" category, but I have no idea how to translate rock climbing into steps. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You cannot not directly translate physical activity to equivalent steps. In rock climbing, many of the moves may translate inot a step or into a few, but if you are looking for an equivalent calorie burn to turn into steps, it won't do it. Instead, the activity and the calorie value you assign will replace Fitbit's estimate of calories for the same period.

Rock climbing is my major workout for the day, but I am not sure how accurate Surge is tracking calories burned. Does anyone have any advice?
