That's a point!!

I decided, on the spur of the moment last night, to try doing a few seconds of the front planks using my hands to support my weight, instead of my lower arms... dunno why I suddenly decided to try it and I didn't even realise I was doing it until I realised my face wasn't as close to the pillows on the bed as they had been the day before.

I only managed 7 seconds, but that's 7 seconds more than I've done in the last 25-30 years so I was (and still am) feeling particularly proud of myself!  I'm gonna aim to maintain those 7 seconds each night until my arms are used to it, then I'll try taking it to double figures... I'm gonna take it sooo slowly though, just like with the other things I started, but when my body starts to not complain I'll add a few more seconds.

I can soo do this!

Very nice!

I'll look forward to the announcement of doing pushup claps!

Still have enough water containers around to keep increasing weight on other lifts?

Have you perfected the push-up and ready to take the exercise to the next level? Try the more advanced move, the clapping push-up. This exercise works the pectoralis, anterior deltoid, triceps brachii. For more upper body exercises, check out Strength Training by the NSCA. https://bit.ly/2IsoyiY

Thank you @Heybales!  I couldn't even do push-up claps when I was a fit and healthy teen, let alone a disabled middle-ager lol

I gave up on the water weights a loooong time ago... my body just isn't strong enough right now unfortunately.

Felt spectacularly proud of myself last night, 'cos I managed a huuuuuge (for me) 30 seconds on my hands for the front planks last night!  I was really proud of myself for the 7 seconds on Thursday night, so to more than quadruple it the next day is just... I don't even know the word to describe it!  I'm just listening to my body and giving it a break when it tells me it's struggling.
