Video: How to Customize Exercise Shortcuts

Hi everyone! I had some free time, so I thought I’d make a video on how to customize the exercise options that appear on your Fitbit device. If you’ve ever wanted to remove the “bike” or “swim” option or wanted to add “elliptical” to your Fitbit device, this short video will help you!

Happy Stepping!

Can you add exercise that is not listed?  I do a lot of snowshoeing.

@pjhaught Unfortunately not.  The "workout" option is the best choice   After you complete the workout, you can then rename it to Snowshoeing.

Thank you so much, I've been trying to figure out how to do this.  One quick question, how did you slide a workout to the top, for the ones you do most of the time?  I tried a few things but they wouldn't budge.

Best Answer

That option is not there.

That’s really ridiculous, the most expensive Fitbit you have and doesn’t have such a simple but needed feature.  Sending this thing back.

This is helpful.
I almost forget syncing after adding new shortcut.

I would like to add one for Driving, to see how stressful and time consuming driving it is. An extra out of exercise. You go to the supermarket, you have a Meeting, then check how that has affected your everyday activities. I think it would be interesting, just like your video on Yoga. In Yoga probably how stable your heart rate could be. I did the EDA with the Fitbit Charge 5 and I think it went to Health Metrics.

I had a problem with that too @jmcostello. Once you've got the list in the edit mode, put your finger on the three lines at the right of the exercise that you want to drag up or down.  And, of course, after you are done rearranging don't forget to sync to your device to update the order there.

Right? We need a pickleball add!

Unfortunately, still no option in my Sense, to remove the options I do not want to show in my wearable. I want to have Crossfit permanently in my workout options, not have to change it after every workout 😞

It is in the option to change it after I did my workout, but I cannot choose it AS my workout, from the start. Pitty.

I have Charge 6 and do not have a section called Exercise Shortcuts - now what?

@TJTA13 The Charge 6 has all the exercises available already on the device, so you don't need to do anything in the app. 🙂
