None? Fitbit dosn't count steps during certain activities, like Yoga for example. I do Yoga two - three times a day and I manually log the activity but it gives me no steps. It does adjust my calories however. I would figure water aerobics would be similar.

I agree with @SunsetRunner , you would have calories burned for the exercise, but no steps. However water aerobics should have a pretty good calorie burn and be very easy on the joints. Good luck!

Does anyone have an idea of how many steps would be in an hourlong water aerobics class?

From what I've been reading, Fitibit doesn't accurately record activities other than walking, jogging or running. SInce the whole idea of doing aerobics in water is to take much of your weight off your legs, I take it the emphasis with water aerobis is in strengthening other parts of your body besides leg muscles. I would just be happy reaping the benefit of water aerobics and not worrry over not getting as many steps as if you were only walking or jogging. I applaud you for maintaining a balanced exercise regime .

Even gardening. Yesterday I logged four hours of gardening which gave me no steps but said I burned over 1000 calories. I'm okay with this.

I ruined my charge HR, forgot to take it off in the pool - killed it. So I put a pedometer on a headband around my baseball hat so it would register steps. I think it counted only when my foot/feel struck the bottom or the side (pushing off). (I cleared it, walked back and forth in the 3' section and counted - missed 1 step. Not bad! But I noticed that when I logged the "water aerobics" in my Activity it gave me calories, but not toward my steps! I want my activity not wearing my Charge HR (bought a new one) to count! Any suggestions?

Or Badges for that matter. Any manual activity will not go towards challenges or Dashboard or badge's
