Hi, i have just gone and got myself a 1.8kg weight hula hoop. I would like to know if i can use my fitbit charge 2 when hula hooping? Any tips would be great.

Yes, why not? You probably won’t get many steps from hula hooping (because your feet typically don’t move much when doing it), but your Charge 2 shoud detect your higher HR. I don’t see any reason why you would want not to use your Charge 2 when hula hooping. It may fail to pick up the full intensity of the activity, but there are 24 x 7 hours in a week, and how many minutes of hula hooping are you going to rack up in that time?

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

I do this and the steps mount up quickly, about 1000 in ten mins.

If you're not used to hula hooping, be ready for bruising when you first start but it gets easier and is a fantastic core exercise.
