I have that one song. You have that one song. We all have that one song. Some people have more than one song (that's okay!). What is the one song that gets you fired up?
For me, if I'm diggin' some alternative, it's Sleigh Bells' "Infinity Guitars." If I need to hear some nice hip-hop to get my workout going, my go-to is Kanye West's "Power." If I need some EDM in my life, I go with this amended version of Lana Del Ray's "Summertime Sadness." As far as song in movies go, John William's composition of "Battle of the Heroes" does it for me!
As a bonus, my good friend @GraceFitbit reminded me how good the year 2005 was, and went with Beyoncé's Crazy In Love .
Above all else, there is the one song that gets me ready to work hard and reach for the improbable. It is one of the most popular songs in the history of the world, and universally one of the most motivating. I am speaking, of course of Ludwig Van Beethoven's "5th Symphony in C Minor."
Now that you have an idea of what songs get our blood ready to flow and our hearts ready to race, we have to know- what song motivates you?

The song that motives me the most is "Aftermath" by War of Ages. Whenever I try to increase the number of push-ups I can do under 1 minute, I turn that song on and start playing it 1 minute from the end to use as a timer. Really pumps me up for those last few push-ups

Any song that has a beat! My other favorite thing to do besides the gym is dancing. So right now, my new beat is " Uptown Funk" because I like when he says, "Don't believe me, just watch!"

I like all kinds of music. I performed as a professional dancer in the 70s, up through 1996. Then life took hold. What has been helping me is to get my heart rate up to 139 bpm. I walk from the train station (10 min from Union Station - LA and walk very fast and with rhythm. I listen to Dub Step and I tune everyone out around me and keep pushin' on. Dub Step is really motivating electronic music commonly heard at Raves. But I just like the pulsing, rapid date. Try it!!!! You can get it on iHeart Radio. According to the sheriffs who ride the train with me to LA, say, "Look at her leave a trailblazer." I love it and this morning it was approximately 48 degrees. But you walk faster, get ou blood pumping, and burn lots of calories in the cold.

I have to be careful, as I tend to sing along! So if I am at the gym, I listen to audio books! Don't want to scare anyone at the gym with my horrible singing voice! But when I am alone, I love 80's rock on Pandora. Just different songs everytime.

Uptown Funk
I can't avoid dancing when I hear it. Doesn't matter where I am. My dance fitness class and Zumba class do 2 different routines . Makes me a little swirly but very, very happy. Dancing is my favorite means of staying fit. If my workouts don't bring me joy I won't stick with it. I am 61 and do 5 dance classes a week.

For some reason Willie Nelson doing "The City of New Orleans" is always my first song as I start out. Uptown Funk" is one of my all time favorites! I could watch that video repeatedly. I'll add "Yeah" by Usher and in a different vein "Goody Two Shoes" by Adam Ant

I like my metal side too. I love Motley Crue. Hope you got to see them. I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl last year on their tour. They're coming for New Years' Eve in LA at Staples and all sold out. The night before too.
Metallica and Volbeat too.
I like Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King
Fun times!!!!

It's funny. I don't like pop music. I'm an old crusty rocker. But "Candyman" by Christina Aguilera serves me well when I'm running. Its beat fits a 10-minute mile pace and its lyrics are rauchy-fun. The cadence calling and "Andrews Sisters" sound appeals to my military side.
