What's the one song that motivates you?

I have that one song. You have that one song. We all have that one song. Some people have more than one song (that's okay!). What is the one song that gets you fired up?

For me, if I'm diggin' some alternative, it's Sleigh Bells' "Infinity Guitars." If I need to hear some nice hip-hop to get my workout going, my go-to is Kanye West's "Power."  If I need some EDM in my life, I go with this amended version of Lana Del Ray's "Summertime Sadness." As far as song in movies go, John William's composition of "Battle of the Heroes" does it for me!

As a bonus, my good friend @GraceFitbit reminded me how good the year 2005 was, and went with Beyoncé's Crazy In Love .

Above all else, there is the one song that gets me ready to work hard and reach for the improbable. It is one of the most popular songs in the history of the world, and universally one of the most motivating. I am speaking, of course of Ludwig Van Beethoven's "5th Symphony in C Minor."

Now that you have an idea of what songs get our blood ready to flow and our hearts ready to race, we have to know- what song motivates you?

Exercise wise,   I like a  lot of upbeat Japanese tunes.    One Piece songs for instance, are awesome for that.   I'm also fond of  a couple of Disney songs:  "I'll Make a Man out of You,"  and  "One Last Hope."   I like to imagine  myself being one of those guys getting in shape and becoming strong over time too.    :d

1. Eye of the tiger

2. Lose yourself by Eminem

3. Remember the name by Fort Minor

4. Just about anything from the Rocky series 🙂 including 1 above of course

5. Down with the sickness by Disturbed

And many more.

But if I were to pick ONE song, it would have to be Eye of the Tiger.

I'm a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan and Hail to the King really wakes me up at those early morning workouts! If you've never heard it and enjoy hard rock then you should definitely give it a try!

@B-ry
I used to listen to Bat a Country all of the time when working out, and I'm not a big hard rock fan. They played it on the alternative station in SoCal, tho, since Avenged is from Huntington Beach. When I'm doing anything cardio, the more home the better. Old Aerosmith like a Rats in the a Cellar is great. 1st on my playlist right now!

While doing stretches: Don't You Forget About Me (Simple Minds). Happy (Pharrell Williams)... That usually gets me going, reminds me I live an active life for me. Love the life you love, love the life you live!

Andy- Have tried Five Finger and just not been able to getr into them much.  Although their song "Lift me Up" which has Rob Halford sharing vocals is in my workout playlist and is a definite motivator.

@Vince Yeah good choice, I would also add Wrecking ball and cradle to the grave to that, but anything loud and beatie does me 🙂

If I need a fast paced hit my go to song is also my guilty pleasure song 'Song About Ping Pong' by Operator Please. I know it's terrible but I also know that I love it.

If I'm in for a hard slog and need something to distract my brain I listen to either songs from Broadway Musicals or an Audible book.
