how long does the flex retain step data without sync'ing?

My flex syncs to my Mac.  I will be on vaca for about a week, so away from the computer.  My phone is an old model and doesn't sync with the flex.  Will the flex retain the step data for the 8 days I'll be away?  Number of steps and active minutes? Thanks!
