Did you mean:

log planks, squats, etc.

ANSWERED

I often spend an hour exercising using planks, squats, Swiss ball ab stuff etc.  How should I log that.  I work up a good sweat, don't know my pulse rate.  Any ideas?

@Bobbinyc - there's a couple of options.  I thought of three - Yoga, Weights or Calisthenics.  Yoga is probably too low, calisthenics is likely too high.  I logged all three for myself, for an hour to compare.  I'd likely log it as weights, since you're doing mainly bodyweight exercises and raising your heart rate.

When exercising frequently, when desired it's possible to get a fitbit tracker which monitors your heart rate all day and night.

When exercising, even if not logging the exercise from the tracker, heart rate is used for a more accurate estimation of calories burned.

It's possible to start a activity from the tracker itself, so the exercise log appears on the account after sync'ing the tracker.

Fitbit trackers with heart rate are:

Charge 2, Blaze, Surge.

The Charge 2 and Blaze have exchangeable bands.

Those trackers are also able to track certain exercises automatically with smarttrack.

Thanks for the responses. @A_Lurker , thanks for the research you did for me.  I'm going with your suggestion of weights.  Weight training was even higher.  I know these aren't accurate, but I just like to get a rough idea of what I'm doing, especially as I gradually increase my level of activity.  I appreciate your help.

Hi,

Have a question about that... I would like to log my squats set, but can find a good way to do it.

For example: Have a challenge at work, every time i go to the bath make a set of 15 squats. Is a way to record it in my fitbit app??

HI did you ever figure out how to log squats?

@smeliss : what Fitbit do you have? If supported by your device, you could log your squats as "Weights" or as "Workout". If these exercises aren’t currently listed on your device, you can add them via the app.

Your Versa will let you do this: just swipe to the "Exercise" app, select the most relevant one (e.g. "Weights", or "Workout") and start it. You’re probably best off waiting for your Versa to arrive.
