Hello how are you?
I thought I would share 2 healthy recipes that do not have too many calories. One is where you use bread, cut it in half, and put a scoop of mayonnaise on it and cucumbers. You can find bread that is 70-100 calories a slice typically whether that be wheat or white bread. Mayonnaise is usually around 100 calories a tablespoon. Cucumbers are low calorie as well. This could work as an hors d'ouevres as well.
Another recipe is when you purchase a box of tofu. The one I buy has around 240 calories which I think is pretty typical. Then what I do is use a cup of napa, put it in a bowl, and steam it. Then I add a tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce which is 15 calories. It is pretty low calorie.
My mum said "well that does not have enough flavour." OK fine but my point of view is I'm grateful to be eating at all, some people are starving and don't have access to food and I do taste the flavour of the food even though it may not be strong.

Hi Shipo, I really appreciate your care and concern about my health. It means a lot to me that you care about my health despite not knowing me in real life. Right now, I am dealing with EDNOS (eating disorder not otherwise specified), so I do eat 1200-2000 calories a day but maintain my weight via exercise. I have an obsessed desire for an underweight BMI. Maybe I will get better someday. Thanks so much again for wanting me to be healthy. It really did brighten my day 🙂 Please have a wonderful and fabulous holiday season! x

I myself like to include real food and protein in my meals. This sounds like diet food to me. Nothing I would stick with for life.
Feed me real food and Im happy and content for life.

Hi Wendy! I think you replied to another post of mine - it's nice to see you again and I hope you're staying warm this winter and enjoying the holiday spirit! May I ask what do you think are good foods for protein and general health? I'm really new to the whole nutrition thing, I usually just eat whatever! I am gonna try and see a nutritionist though! 🙂

Protein:
Eggs
Meat
Milk
Cottage cheese.
A lot of foods contain protein. Reading labels helps a lot.

Hello there.. so low calorie doesn't have to be low nutrition and the items you list are low nutrition. White bread, mayo and cucumbers have nothing in them at micro or macro nutrient level. I think tofu is OK, I don't know that much about it, but what you add to it just has sodium. Try this:
1 packet of plain oatmeal
1 tsp of maple syrup or honey
1 oz of blueberries or raspberries
150 calories- could be snack, could be breakfast, double it could be lunch. You have protein, grain, vitamins, fiber and cancer fighting nutrients. Much better. Or:
130 grams of cottage cheese
1 small tomato
pinch of salt and pepper
splash of balsamic vinegar
125 calories- protein, calcium, lycopene, fiber
You can do so much better... read up on nutrition, you will be very happy about the yummy things you can eat.

To help be sure you are getting your nutrients (both those meals are low in nutrients) try adding a vegaone shake to your breakfast, I am in recovery and this helped me feel healthier and cause less self harm a long the way 🙂 good luck hun ❤️
