A good article on the benefits of the nutrients in purple produce. The list even includes one of my favorite foods, Eggplant! ![]()
"Let’s think purple as in purple produce packed with powerful phytochemicals. The beauty of purple produce goes far beyond their alluring royal purple hue. Within each one’s attractive outer package lies a nutrient-packed health protective profile. These purple fruits and veggies will provide a host of nutrients giving us a much needed health-promoting punch."

I love purple cabbage. Yum! Whenever I go to Roti (a Mediterranean fast-casual), I make sure I have some on my falafel wrap.

That's too bad, @WendyB. Just bought a bag of purple potatoes yesterday at Fresh Thyme, and had some this evening for dinner.... Yum, yum...

I get purple potatoes in my CSA box. That's the only place I ever see them. But I do like them.

Believe it or not I found small purple, gold and red potatoes in a mixed bag at Costco. They were the type you don't peel so bonus - you don't waste time prepping them and the skins are really good for you. I rarely shop at Costco but every time I do I am blown away at the quality of the produce and meat.
