Adding recipes

ANSWERED

I love MyFitnessPal in part because I have spent years of adding my recipes to it. I rarely eat packaged food, so although the push the button and scan the USP code is great - what about my St Ninnian Gingery Muffins? What about my lentils in tomato with veggies?

Is there an easy way to add my recipes to this platform?

Did you check the help article on creating a meal?

Given that Fitbit and MyFitnessPal integrate both ways, why not have the nutrition logged in MFP (since you know it inside out and already have all these recipes added there) and passed on to Fitbit, and have activity data passed on from Fitbit to MFP?

Most people who know both appear to consider MFP is more versatile for nutrition, hence my suggestion to use the best of both worlds.

How do you "pass" the info from one app to fitbit ?

I think the biggest problem in trying to have them talk to each other is that we're using them on our phones  Under Myfitnesspal Settings, My Apps & Devices, "connected" tab it says (regarding fitbit tracker):

"Fitbit trackers monitor your steps, distnce, calories burned and more. Automatically sync the data to your fitbit account via your computer and select smartphones. ** works with all Fitbit Trackers **"

On Myfitnesspal on the desktop, I found this answer to someone's question - I'll give it a try and report back
