Always seems to be underbudget

Hi Fitbit community,

I always log my food and calories in myfitnesspal, and when looking at my calories at the end of the day, in my fitbit, it looks like i am always underbudget, by a lot.  Just trying to see if i am eating the right calorie deficit or if i am actually eating too little.

I am trying to lose weight to reach a goal of 175.

My total calories i can eat according to  myfitnesspal pal is 2,070. On fitbit it says the. Calorie deficit should be -250, i usually dont go over my calories on myfitnesspal and eat between 1,500 - 1,900 calories a day.

Any help would be great.

@Laneymcg1 It's great to see you in the Community!

I'm really happy to see that you're very interested in using the Fitbit Food Plan to get better results when using your Fitbit tracker. If you're starting a new food plan there is some basics that you need to know, since you have to take in count the different variants like for example the amount of pounds you want to lose or gain, and in some others if you just want to maintain your weight!  🤖

Why don't you take a look of this master post that has all the details on how the food plan works. If you're using Myfitnesspal, it's best to follow the information you get in the Fitbit app and use the other app only to log your food and sync it.

I’ll see you around the Community!

@Laneymcg1 what does the scale say and what does your overall body say? Are you feeling hungry all the time? Are you feeling faint or light headed? Do you see the scale move in the direction of weight loss? Are you eating a more healthy nutrient dense diet, than before? All of these are factors in your overall well being and count more than numbers in the app. If you are feeling good, seeing results and enjoying your journey to good health, keep doing what you are doing. If no, then start making adjustments based on how you are feeling and the results you are seeing. If you are always hungry, change up the frequency of your meals and add more water to your day. It will make you feel full and do all the magical things water does to our body. If you are not seeing results, you are eating to or above your daily intake and you may want to make some reductions somewhere. Do a check in with your body and see what happens from there..

@emili thank you so much. The scale says I am losing weight. I don't have a fancy Bluetooth one. Not feeling faint or light headed at all. Some days I feel more hungry than others but not often. Thank you so much for your tips
