Did you mean:

Calories in VS. Calories Out

Why does it say I am over the limit when my calories in are lower than my calories burned?  I have not even had dinner yet and have not had all my calories for the day yet.

@heatherb70 This is because of the way Fitbit tracks calories. It first takes your desired calorie deficit (500, 1000 or 1500 per day) and then does a linear fit throughout the day. For example, if your deficit goal is 500, it will look for a deficit of 250 at noon. Since the deficit it is looking for is linear, the amount of deficit is looks for depends on the time you check the numbers. It gives a + 50 calorie leeway. For the above example, at noon you have to be at 225 to 275 calorie deficit to be 'on target'.  Since your expenditure and intake are not linear the over/under signal will vary quite a bit before and after a meal or before and after a workout. Hope this helps.
