When you enter the components for a meal it doesn't give you the facility anywhere to say how many portions you are catering for. I try to cook in bulk and freeze some for another day but the meal just goes in as one meal (when I've made it for 4)

I am not sure how many apps you want to use, but MyFitnessPal has this functionality and you can connect it to your FitBit app. Then you could log your food in MyFitnessPal with portion and it will show up in FitBit.

My Fitbit site doesn't give me the reduced serving size option other than to reduce it 1g at a time.

My Fitness Pal has a recipe builder program so when you make say a pot of chili you can designate how many servings and calories and nutrients per serving will be computed. I like the old recipe program there.

I don't have My Fitness Pal just a Fitbit Charge and I am not very good with technology.
I think it classes the whole recipe as 1 serving and says log meal. I have to go back and divide
everything up which takes ages.

Both MyFitnessPal and Cronometer are very easy to use. They handle recipes quite easily. If you spend just a bit of time with either, I think you would be pleased with the results. They both will import calories into Fitbit. Cronometer handles micronutrients if you are interested in that.
