O Organics popping corn

The O Organics popping corn  jar from Safeway shows 25 calories for 1 cup of popped corn. It also says the serving size is 2 tbsp of unpopped corn which makes 6.5 cups popped.  The Fitbit ap shows about 520 calories for 1 serving (which would be about 6.5 cups according to the jar) or about 83 calories for 1/6 serving (approximately 1 cup).    Big difference between the jar (25 cal) and the ap (83 cal).  What am I missing?

Hi @DGMed

Great question. My guess is that the calories listed by Fitbit take into consideration calories added from popping the corn in some type of oil. The calories on the jar are the raw form, so unless you are eating straight from the jar, you are likely altering it by some method. If you are using an air popper and not adding anything, including salt, then what you see on the jar is accurate. I hope that helps.
