How does the Macronutrient % on Charge 3 app/website get calculated? I assume it adds up only the main MNs (Fat, Protein, Carbs) and then display each as a percentage of the total. However, when I look at the break down of grams of each, it shows the % to be incorrect. (You can only look at grams on the online dash...not available yet on the app).
Using the values of each MN expressed in grams in my summary for today:
Carbs 112.9g Fat 55.77g Protein 110.7g
the percentages should read:
Carbs 41%, Fat 20%, Protein 39%
instead of what the summary shows:
Carbs 32%, Fat 36%, Protein 32%
What gives?

Just saw this posed on another community post. Looks like this explains it. Having FitBit support confirm:

I noticed that amount of grams i consumed for carbs, protein and fats did not match the percentages that the app displayed on my dashboard. I posted the issue in another forum and found the answer why. Fat is multiplied by a factor of 9 and carbs & protein by a factor of 4 for the dashboard % calculations. Fitbit should add messaging for this on the dashboard because it is confusing.
