We got a Fitbit Inspire 3 for my son, opting for it over the Ace b/c of the HR tracking (and better sleep information), and over the Inspire 2 because of the Smart Wake feature.
My son has significant issues waking up in the morning, so we thought we should get him a Fitbit that could optimize his wake up time, and give us data about his sleep cycles.
We are 3 mornings in. Twice he slept completely through the alarm (which is set to Strong vibration). On the morning he woke up to the alarm, it was maybe the best day he has had in a year (in terms of mood, motivation, staying on task, etc.). This is all very anecdotal, and very early, but it's promising. However, we need to ensure the alarm wakes him up.
I am wondering the following:
Is there a way to sync the alarm to an app or alarm clock, to produce a sound in his room?
Is there any way that I could be notified when his alarm is going off, so we can wake him up? I turned off notifications from my phone syncing with his Fitbit, because he doesn't need my stuff popping up on his device, but is there a way for the Fitbit to send alarm info to my phone?
If the answers above are no, has Fitbit ever added new features to a device after-the-fact, or should I just assume that this is the best the Inspire 3 will get.
Lastly, do any other devices do anything like this? We really need advanced sleep tracking and a Smart Wake feature for him, but if the alarm doesn't wake him up, what's the point?
Thanks for any recommendations or advice.

1) According to the Inspire 3 manual , Inspire 3 does have the Smart Wake feature.
2) It sounds like you think you have your son on a family account, but only Ace family models can be for children on family accounts, not the Inspire 3, so I don't quite understand your situation.
