Maybe I'm not understanding how this device is suppose to work so hopefully someone here can help.
Three issues:
1) I can either turn on water lock or track exercise but not both. If I turn on water lock then I can't swipe to get to the Exercise screen. If I swipe to Exercise, then tap Start, I can't then get to the Water lock screen to turn on water lock. So how do I turn on both?
2) Tapping on the screen doesn't always turn water lock on or off. I've tried fast tapping, slow tapping. The first tap usually turns the screen off, making the second tap pointless. So how does this feature REALLY work?
3) When tracking exercise while walking in the current channel at my local swim center it doesn't seem to track my actual workout (maybe this has to do with not having the water lock on??)) Yesterday I worked out in the current channel for 50 minutes but according to fit bit I was only active for less than 15 minutes. What is the best way to track walking in water?
Would appreciate any help anyone can provide before I throw this thing in the trash.

Hi there, @smayernik. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Note that water lock turns on automatically when you start a swim in the Exercise app. When you're using water lock or performing an exercise from 'Exercise app' you can't access to other features. Or use them simultaneously.
On the other hand, to turn off water lock firmly double-tap the middle of the screen with your finger. If you don't see "Unlocked" appear on screen, try tapping harder. Turning off this feature uses the accelerometer in your device, which takes more force to activate. Remember to turn your wrist toward your body while tapping on it. If that doesn't help, you can also try to restart it to confirm if this is not a hardware issue.
Currently there is no way to track 'Water walking' from the Fitbit app. However, this is an excellent idea. The best place to make your voice heard is the Feature Suggestions board. Here you can upvote for a similar idea or create your own. The ideas with more votes are taken into consideration for next updates or product development.
As an alternative, you can create a custom activity on the Fitbit.com Dashboard > click on the magnifying glass > type 'Water walking' > click on 'Create custom activity' > click on 'Add Activity' > then you will have the option to enter date, time, duration, distance and calories burned. Once you've created a custom activity, you will see it under 'Favorites'. So next time you want to add this activity, you just need to click on it.
