I’ve been tracking calories using the Fitbit app and had a set up of a 500 calorie deficit per day which was helpful. This feature no longer works - it was working fine until today. It will only default to a fixed calorie goal. Any ideas how to fix it please?

Seriously!! A known issue that is going on 2 weeks to fix, with no information about what the issue actually is, and 100 frustrated customers on this thread alone isn’t good enough!!! The almost non-existent communication from Fitbit is the worst.
To everyone on this thread: Have you also noticed your weight not tracking correctly? I reset my starting weight on 1/18/26. Ever since this bug with the calorie deficit not working I also noticed that every day the app shows my starting weight and date as the previous day, meaning yesterday’s date and weight. It’s not going back to the date and weight I recorded in January. So, every day I manually over ride it. I submitted that issue to Google but I’m not hopeful they will fix that either. I’m just wondering how many others see this problem too. Thanks.
Yes, I’ve had the same issue with my “start date and weight” changing to my “most recent logged weight and date”. I’m sure it’s connected to the dynamic calories reverting to the static calories.
Unfortunately, a lot of companies are trading their high talent/high cost workers for low cost button pushers. So, this might never get fixed if they don’t escalate to the high talent (if there’s any left). I guess as long as the share holders and C-suite are raking it in, who cares, right?
If you haven’t reached out via email, chat or phone, I urge you to do so. I know we have already bought the devices, but you can cancel premium subscriptions if you want to make a bigger impact. Also, not buying new devices will make a huge impact.
We needs some accountability from Fitbit/google!!
I just canceled my premium subscription. So frustrated with Fitbit. I used to use this feature all the time and now it is useless.

Best AnswerA heads up that mine doesn't work for ANY calorie deficit setting.
AFAIK the calorie deficit feature on the Fitbit App can't be working for some folks and not others, right? It either works or it doesn't and right now it doesn't.
Just tried and mine is still not working
Best AnswerNope, tried that, mine is not accepting the deficit plan
Best AnswerDoes anyone know how to delete water and food goals as shown in this screenshot? Thanks!
Best AnswerMine seems to be working now also. Now if they would fix the weight issue where it keeps changing your start date and starting weight to your most current entry!
