Cardio Load

ANSWERED

I do not feel that my cardio load target is appropriate. I do approximately 6mls of brisk walking every day of the week, and have a resting heart rate of 49 or 50. I sleep well, eat healthily and am very fit and healthy. However, I am constantly being told that I am in danger of under training! I know that this can't be true, as at the age of 73, I keep very fit! Why am I told that I am under training?

I also have this problem , it tells you your at the risk of over training then, when you have a day off it tells you your at risk of under training . There is no making it happy . I did a post about this a short while back , and was told they were working on it.

All I can suggest is try to ignore it , your doing grand , and so long as what you do makes you feel fit and healthy , carry on doing it and ignore this overdemanding and unreasonable piece of kit on this point . Tools should not make us unhappy. Your fabulous 👌

Just wanted to thank you for your post and the best answer to your response which made me feel better because I was feeling the same frustration with my Fitbit Versa 4. I am 66 years old, female, walk/run 6 to 8 miles per day, have a resting heart rate of 54 to 56 beats for a minute, eat healthy, sleep goodand literally run when I’m on the treadmill. I too get the same feedback that I’m at risk of under training and there’s no way I can hit the cardio target they set for me daily to improve workout. Sure hope they fix the problem soon! Thanks again for sharing your post

Hi. It's reassuring to know that, it's not just me that is getting the
'risk of undertraining. It sounds to me that we are like-minded people, who
like to be active! I love my walks, especially through woodland and by the
canals. I always walk briskly and find I can think more clearly whilst
walking. I have now stopped worrying too much about the Cardio Load,
because I know my body, and I know I am doing well, and am just going to
keep doing what I am doing! I hope you continue to do the same. Thankyou
for your interest.

Thans you for this post. Same here.  4 days in a row warming for overtraining and 1 day a very little bit under the daily goal: risk for undertraing and a super high goal. I do not understand this at all.  Very frustrating feature. I would like to turn it off , so i can ignore it more easily, but that is not possible.

Hi. Thanks for responding to my post. I am beginning to accept the
situation better now, and understand that the Cardio Load is very much
connected to the data received from the overnight sleep, resting heart
rate, heart rate variability and general well being. If these reading are
all good, then your daily readiness is high, and it is assumed you can cope
with a high cardio load target! From these reading they can tell if your
body needs to recover/rest or push harder. At the 'end of the day', I tend
to listen to my body and follow my instincts anyway, so I now don't get so
stressed about it. I hope you can do the same.

I do different exercises but have the same issues. Since the most recent update the cardio targets are impossible to achieve because they’re now way too high. As a result I ignore the suggested target and just keep doing my regular routine.

Yes, totally agree with you! You know yourself, when you have worked hard!
The very high targets aren't worth stressing over! I, now, just take it as
a compliment that they think I'm capable of achieving that figure! Haha.

The targets are also idealized rather than real life since they don’t take into account a person’s health issues, like a severe arthritis flare for example.
