Change step counter sensitivity

The counter normally counts 5000+ plus steps it should not of counted while working at my desk all day.

i’ve read I'm other topics and replies that suggest changing the dominant setting, which i cannot find anywhere in the IOS app. Can someone please help or i will have to return this watch.

This is on Android but I expect same on iOS. From phone app Today screen tap top left device icon, then your device, then Wrist Placement.
I don't know how much of a difference that really makes. I think it's designed to prevent some false steps from some activities normally done with dominant hand, such as brushing teeth, but worth a try.
I would expect you would run into same problem with any tracker worn on wrist.  If accurate step count is important to you, you might consider getting the optional clip for the Inspire 3 and wearing on waist at desk, which would eliminate steps from hand movement.  It wouldn't measure heart rate while in clip mode, but you're probably not getting much extra exercise then.  You could switch back to wrist mode when done with work to get heart rate measured along with step count when you might be getting more exercise and burning more calories,

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I found that setting, thank you. Let’s see if that helps. The UI could
improved.
