I deleted my son's Fitbit account by mistake when we were trying to set up his new watch. It was linked to his Google account. I immediately contacted Google support as it suggested online the account could be restored within 7 days, but they couldn't do that and said I needed to wait 30 days and then I should be able to make a new account with his Google login.
It's been over 30 days now and when he tries to log in it says he can't because he deleted his account. I contacted Google support again and was told because it's been over 30 days he now needs to make a new Google account to log in (which is the opposite of what I was told before). I also don't want to make a random new account for him just for his Fitbit!
This seems like a similar issue as mentioned in this thread - sounds like it was resolved in the end: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-3/Can-t-create-account-after-deleting/td-p/5635034
Can someone help please?

Hi, @krobz , did your son have a child Fitbit account? It sounds like you got instructions for what to do if you accidentally delete an adult account. If it was a child Google account, unfortunately it seems that you need either to create an entirely new Google account for the child to use with their Fitbit (which I understand you don’t want to do) or delete the Fitbit service from their Google account and wait 90 days before re-registering it.
What I would suggest, since I am sure he wants to carry on with his new watch is to go ahead and set up a new Google account for him just for his Fitbit, and then when you are able to re-register his old account re-link that instead. If he changes his account address in the Fitbit app before he registers his Fitbit to his old Google account then I think he should be able to do it without losing any data. I hope this makes sense!
