Fitbit app suddenly changed calories burned

After using my Fitbit Inspire 3 for about two weeks, i woke up this morning and checked my app to find that my average calories burned has changed drastically. Up until 02/19 my average for each day was about 1,825. I’m a small person, and lowly active (not doing much outside of getting my 10k steps a day.) But this morning (02/20) the past week of data has suddenly shot up from 1.8k to 3.5k burned. Does anyone know why this happened? Now i’m unsure which number i can count on being more accurate, i find it a little hard to believe someone of my size is burning 3k a day with an average of only 30 active minutes a day.

I found the issue. Despite the fact that I don’t have the weight trends turned on or any logs, the app glitched and added a weight much higher than mine at some point yesterday. Which would obviously increase my BMR as well as how much it estimates I burned during exercise. Now that I have removed it, the average has gone back down. Thanks for your help!

Hi, @olivelininger, welcome to the community, you report unusual symptoms in your Fitbit. May I suggest you restart your Inspire 3? From the clock face swipe down to "settings" and then up until you reach "restart device". Let us know how you get on.

Cheers
