Today the Food Database has a message that it’s not available in the U.S. This morning I added a custom food entry and now it’s the only thing I can do. Yes, I’ve done all the steps in previous posts (restarts, deleting app and reinstalling, etc). It’s very frustrating.

Same, spent over and hour yesterday doing all the restarts, googling, manually looking up nutrition for foods I wanted to log. Company the size of Google should be able to push out a notice in less than 12 hours explaining issue and ETA for fix?

Having the same issue, no access to food search database. Did all the fixes, no change. Anyone from Fitbit or Google going to respond to this issue??? Hello, anyone home there in Googleville??? A new Garmin is starting to look like the right holiday gift for all the Fitbit users this year...

I too have the same problem. I have followed all the instructions to reset and still the same issue. I use the app everyday and I really hope they come up with a solution (update) that corrects this because it is on their end.

I, too, am having the same issues. I have been tracking food for close to 20 years. This is stressing me out that I am only able to add a new item or use their Quick Calorie counter option. This is why I am hesitant to move my Fitbit account to Google. They mess everything up. Google you need to do better. This is an awesome community. Do not ruin it

Since about noon, I have had the same problem. For Food Database selection the only option is N/A. Scan is also not available probably because no databases are available.

The food database is not showing up. I’ve tried all the turning it on turning it off stuff and it doesn’t work. In addition the barcode has disappeared from the app as well.

Been like that for me for 2 days.
It's also not automatically detecting my walks. It'll show up in the app after the fact but WHILE I'm walking, it's not being detected. So I can't monitor pace.

Could this interruption be from the latest Apple upgrade? Since I’ve upgraded to new IOS I have had several apps that have had to be re-started

Having same problem since yesterday afternoon. Not able to search or add custom items. I tried doing everything that was suggested. Clearing cache and data, force stopping, uninstalling, logging out and in, restarting each time, ect ect. Nothing works. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I doubt it. Android users having same issue. Myself included. I suspect they were trying to add the Food features to the new AI version of Fitbit app, and instead messed everything up. I was beta testing a Preview version of the new app a few days ago, and the Food features weren't yet available on it. They were supposed to be added soon. Instead we lost the food database features on everything across the board, including the main Fitbit app.
