I've had my Inspire 3 since December. I want to use it to track my runs and sync with my Strava account. Up until 3 weeks ago, all was working fine - I would start a run on my watch, and after ending it, the full record with map would be logged to my Fitbit app and also be sent to Strava.
A couple of weeks ago, the gps stopped connecting, and I'm not sure why. When I open 'run' on my watch, it says 'gps connecting' for a minute or two, then says 'gps not connected'.
- gps is switched on when I go to 'run' on my watch
- location is switched on on my phone
- the fitbit app has permission to use location
- tracking directly from strava works fine (although if I do that, I have two runs logged on my fitbit app)
I have tried delinking and relinking my watch and phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A23 running Android 14. Any suggestions?

@CMFit86 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and efforts.
What I can see that you missed on your troubleshooting steps is to confirm that Background App Refresh is turned on for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see the Google (Android) help article.

@CMFit86 , thank you for letting me know that the link was the wrong one. I'll correct the one on the previous post and also leave it here for you : Background App Refresh
The part that needs your attention is almost on the bottom of the page.

Any update? Your answer didn't actually help me as all the info is for iPhone.

When I have had a problem (on an iPhone) with the GPS not connecting to the Fitbit, turning Bluetooth off and back on usually fixes the problem. Is that what you meant when you said "I have tried delinking and relinking my watch and phone."? I don't know what the Android app looks like but in iPhone, the Fitbit app has to have background refresh and cellular data enabled to get the map our the exercise route.
FWIW, my wife and I have been having trouble with our Fitbit app communicating (i.e., passing step data) to our United Healthcare app recently. My wife's connection stopped working in December (might have been related to her getting a new phone) and I was finally able to restore the connection this month. My connection had been working for over a year until this month when it suddenly stopped. I don't know if it's a Fitbit issue or a UHC issue but it's quite frustrating when something that has been working for a year suddenly stops for no apparent reason.
