I had an Inspire 2 (for 2 years), and recently broke it, so I replaced it with an Inspire 3. It will not track my heartrate while being worn on my wrist, only when I take it off and hold my finger over the sensor (that's how I know it's not a settings issue, as I went into every possible place to be sure everything was switched to on). I even went from wearing it on the non-dominant side to the dominant side (and switched that in the app accordingly as well), and from wearing the face on the inside of my wrist to the top (which I hate, but it makes no difference anyway, it still won't pick up my heart rate). I have also worn it a little bit looser, and a little bit tighter, and it just refuses to track. I even have a video to prove what's going on. This is the second Inspire 3 I have bought in the last week. The other one did it too. I figured I just had a lemon. But now I have the same issue. What in the world? I don't want to switch to a different company 😟

Hi, @amyavalanche welcome, do you have a tattoo or scar tissue on your wrist where you wear your Inspire 3? If not may I suggest you clean the back of your device to remove any skin product or debris which may be interfering with the function of the LED. I've used rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl 70%) but warm soapy water will do the trick. Normally the LED illuminates when you pick up your device but if it does not detect the pulse it soon goes out. Check you have not inadvertently turned off the HR, from the clock face swipe down to "worn on wrist" (if it says clipped on body" you need to toggle this setting to "Worn on wrist") Swipe down again to settings>swipe up to Heart Rate & check the slider is in the "on" position. You will have noted that you must ensure you are wearing your Inspire 3 in the correct position (just above your wrist bone) and constantly in contact with your skin.
Let us know how you get on by posting here again.
Cheers

So I ended up chatting with someone from Fitbit on Instagram yesterday, and yes, my wrists are fully covered in tattoos, I just thought it was so strange that my Inspire 2 never had issues, ut I guess that sensor just fell in the right little spot where there's a very light yellow color on my tattoo. Luckily I do have bare skin higher up my arm and I'm very little so the band still fits in the spot that has no tattoos! I'm so relieved that it's working!
