How to create a FitBit Account for Inspire 3?

I purchased a FitBit Inspire for my elderly mother. I am on this forum because I, myself, have an Inspire 2.

I am trying to set up her FitBit for her. I downloaded the App from the PlayStore to her phone. I opened the App and have 2 options: Sign in with Google, or Sign in with FitBit account.

I tried to sign in with Google (my mom has a Google Account). It says that 'I haven't moved my FitBit Account over to my Google Account' and gives me 'Go Back' as an option. Okay... Go back and try to create a FitBit Account, but the only option is to 'Sign in'. No link available to create an account.

So then - in the box - it says to visit myhelp.fitbit.com/go if I need support. I signed in there, only to be told I didn't have sufficient permissions. So, now I'm here. I read through a couple of other posts, but the solutions for those people were different / they already had FitBit accounts.

Thank goodness I'm here to help - I'd have assumed she was doing something wrong. This is very... non-intuitive.

UPDATE: She had an account already, from having owned a tiny FitBit pocket-fob thing 10 years ago or something. The 'Reset Password' feature had failed to work (unknown why) but calling the number Odyssey13 provided led me to a representative and when they sent a 'reset password' email, it arrived. Thank you all! 🙂

Hi @Wilburchloe  really hope you're in the USA because I know this number works. Support is limited by the number of representatives available at a given time and the hours of operation.  USA: call (877) 623-4997

If not, let us know. You're good to your mother and I'm glad you're there to help!

@Wilburchloe Hi. Isn't there a register option? If your Mom is new to fitbit, you'd sign up rather than sign in. And you have to use a google account at this point. Can't create a fitbit one. Fitbit sign on is for those of us who already had a Fitbit account and haven't been forced to switch to google yet. That's supposed to be coming some time this year.

No - sorry if my post wasn't clear. There is NOT a register option. That is, indeed, the issue. And trying to sign on to Google causes the above issue I've already outlined. It's a never-ending circle of bs.

I'll try calling the number Odyssey13 provided.
