While I’m biking the current Fitbit watch face is useless. The font is incredibly small and it tracks my miles. Instead I—along with MOST cyclists—would find it helpful to show the time. Does the inspire 3 do that or is it this useless design that forces users to constantly manually stop the exercise routine so they can see the time?

Hi, @Bikerchic007 , welcome to the community. There is only limited real estate on the Inspire 3 to display data. You do not mention which "Time" you are interested in, elapsed time or actual time of the day. If you start "Bike">see the little chevron on the bottom ofthe screen, slide up to be offered "Set a Goal"> you can have zone minutes, distance or time (Elapsed) If you just touch the "Start" arrow at the entry point for the exercise you get speed, touch speed to toggle to a whole range of data points which once displayed will not change unless you toggle again.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
