I have had my Inspire 3 for 2 months and have consistently had an inaccurate heart rate. All I need to do to earn zone points is to turn on my workout button and my heart rate will rise to 140 BPM even though I am sitting and have a heart rate of 55 BPM. It will remain high until I turn off "Workout". Conversely, if I exercise and fail to turn on "Exercise", I won't get an increase in heart rate. Totally undependable. Along with not receiving HRV, Breathing Rate, and Sleep Scores, it's pretty much useless. I've contacted customer service a number of times with no results. It turned out to be an expensive step counter. I definitely would not recommend.

Hi, @Mcfeep, welcome, you may be interested in this article How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? I apologise if you've already seen it. FYG I use my Fitbit alongside an alternative tracker and find the HR is mostly within about 10 beats on both devices, each uses a slightly different sampling interval and of course, the algorithm that records change against time is not the same on each device. So far as sleep scores are concerned this article How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? provides background and advice. How do I track my breathing rate in the Fitbit app? addresses BR in a similar manner.
I hope this helps.

I don't get this answer. I have the same problems with my Charge 5. During rest and regular daily activities HR is recorded fairly accurately, but once you start a workout, the HR tends to be wildly inaccurate! I have had the experience too many times that I have been just sitting doing some stretches during a workout and the my Charge 5 buzzes to tell me that I have a heart rate of 170. Then I check manually and it is under 130.This is especially true in the beginning of the workout, but can happen at any time during the workout recording. Why is this? Is there any solution to getting it to be more accurate?

My sense HR monitor is way off. The numbers keep on changing frequently and the gap is huge. In fact, it even shows reading when kept on table and not only that but at time the readings move up to 145 even though it is not on wrist. Factory reset has alao not helped to solve this issue.
It feels like I have wasted my money and rather should have gone for Garmin

Did you find a solution for this? I have the same issue. I logged it with Fitbit support and they replaced it but the problem still exists.
