Every time I've attempted to update my food plan for the last 3 days I'm met with a notification stating that fitbit.com is down for maintenence.
It will save changes to the goal weight but will not change the plan itself for calorie deficit.

Last Fitbit was the most expensive. Never again. I did plan on upgrading to a newer model but there's no chance of me doing that now. I've currently been looking into other smart watches that's out there. I've just had enough of being palmed off all the time. I still get replies from a post I made several years ago that people are still having the same issue. That shows you that they don't want to resolve issues. I've just done a full factory reset hoping it may sort the problem out but I'm still getting the "down for maintenance" message 🙄 It's pretty shocking having devices that aren't functioning correctly (telling me I'm undereating everyday by 1000+ calories) just because they can't solve the issues or don't want to solve them! Frustrated and annoyed beyond belief.

@DavidFitbit
Why is this thread marked as answered? It is not!
I raised this issue with technical support on 11th March.
"01:52:35 Luis: This issue will be fixed as soon as possible, as is affecting all the Fitbit customers 01:52:44 Luis: Our Developer Team will fix it asap"
How long is asap?

Hi everyone, thanks for your messages.
I understand how you may feel since the app is not working as expected. I appreciate your patience.
We’ve found the cause of the issue and are currently fixing it.
Personalized calorie goals should now be showing up correctly. Please note that if you manually set a fixed goal as a temporary workaround, that fixed goal will remain until you change it.
You might still see an error message when creating or updating a food plan, but we expect to have this resolved within the next few days.
Note: Usually, some posts may be marked as the best answer in order for new visitors to quickly locate it. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

David, this doesn't make sense in regards the actual problem. Explain please how the work around is working and what needs to be done because mine still isn't working. It's showing that I'm constantly under eating everyday.

I am still getting down for maintenance when trying to change the food plan. When trying to change my weight it says it cannot be changed while offline.

@DavidFitbit Please see messages from other users above. Also my food plan/weight goal is even more messed up today than it was yesterday.
Other users, probably worth tagging @DavidFitbit in your replies going forward so that they are brought to his attention.

@db5980 yep I gave up up trying to resolve the work around....nothing seems to help and is a mess with all the error messages. At one point it looked like it had saved 😏

@RosieWR I wouldn't hold your breath for it to be fixed in a week. It's been ongoing for around a month as it is 😑

@DavidFitbit please, could you give us an ETA for the release of the patch?

My work around is just linking it with my fitness pal. At least there you can track the calories you eat and burn. Plus they have a better food data base. I just miss the convenience of using one app.

This is what's happening now.....Steps are showing differently on the app to what's actually on my fitbit (just synced it) As you can see with the other screen shots....its now registering the correct cals on the front of the main screen of the app at long last but even though I am slightly under my target range, it's showing that I'm over on my cals and under when I've gone over (the other pic-graph) Still saying "Fitbit down for maintenance" though. Never seen steps showing totally different on the app to what's on my fitbit. At this point I don't know what data to even trust anymore 😩

I'm sorry I have to correct myself.
I can finally save the new plan, but there are problems with the calcolus.
I finally setted a deficit of 500 calorie(prior it was 250), now I'm under of only 220: the daily detail says I'm over (red) while the graph is green...
Moreover the daily detail tells me I'm over only of 30, I expected to see I'm over of 280.... seems it still considers the old value.
Are you still working on it?

@DavidFitbit any udates? Just checked and, even if the food plan is now updated to -500, the dashboard shows blu/red/green as it still is setted to -250

It will not let me change my weight. Says cannot change while offline. I am in the process of losing weight and I weigh myself every Monday. I would like to be able to change this with my diet plan so I know closer to where I stand for an actual calorie "budget"
