Inspire 3 battery draining quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought an Inspire 3 which I charged and all seemed fine. Went to bed at 10pm with 78% battery and woke up (6 hours later) with it dead (email quotes it was "low" at 2:45am). Recharged between 4:30 am til 8:05am and left the house at 100%. At 10am my battery was at 73% and I placed it in DND mode as it was waking up when I moved my wrist and I dimmed the screen. It is now it is 3:13pm and at 33%.

Also, it has asked me to resync my phone to fitbit probably 5 times since yesterday.

I do not play/fidget with it nor am I constantly checking the time. Have I gotten a bad fitbit or is there something else I can try?

Hi there, @JDDamnitall. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Inspire 3 keeps draining quickly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Please keep in mind that using features such as always-on display and GPS require more frequent charging.

We recommend that you use the charging cable that came with your device. Note that after several hundred charge cycles, your device may need to be charged more often. If you turn on the always-on display, your Inspire 3 will have a battery life of up to 3 days. For more information, see Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Please find below some tips to best charge Fitbit devices:

  • Use only genuine Fitbit charging cables
  • Use only UL-certified wall chargers
  • Avoid USB battery packs
  • Charge at room temperature

For charging purposes, your charging cable or your base station can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:

  • A computer
  • A Wall A/C to USB adapter, commonly found with smartphones
  • A DC to USB adapter (vehicle power port)

Thank you for your reply. All extra features are off, it is literally a
pedometer and a clock right now. Go to sleep at 99% (it drains 1-3% by just
unplugging it) I wake up at 0%.

I have charged for 2 hours, 6 hours and 24 hours. About the same drain
rate. (10%/hr awake and 12.5%+ when sleeping)
