[Fitbit Inspire 3, received for Christmas Dec 2023)
Last week I was washing dishes in pretty warm water, but I had latex gloves on so the fitbit never actually got wet. Later in the day I noticed that the display had stopped working, but it was still recording data and syncing to the app on my android phone.

I did the usual troubleshooting steps of restarting it, changing the clock face, fully charging, etc. Nothing helped. I've still worn it for the data, but it's annoying that I can't use it as a watch for the time.

A couple days ago I noticed that if I repeatedly manually try to activate the screen by touching both sides of the display, the display would brighten slightly. Each attempt would brighten the screen a little more. If I do it 20+ times it will eventually fully turn on and show the usual stuff: the time, heart rate, etc, and I can scroll up and down. But if I allow it to go back to sleep again, it stops working (and I have to do the 20+ activations all over again). WTH is happening?

Sounds like you should contact Google Customer Service to get an RMA number for a replacement device under the Factory 1-year warranty before it's too late.
