It was coming and going, then mostly going. Now it's black except for a few faint bars going across. I can't even restart because I can't see the settings or any of the other things. It's just all black.
It's currently still syncing but not sure how long that will last.
I will withhold my vocabulary of the materials, design and construction of this brick on my wrist.
I will try to contact FitBit but let me guess, I'll bet my warranty expired last week.

If the device is still syncing, please try to change the clock face.
Please, sync in the Fitbit app. Now, perform a restart as indicated here.
