Hi, @kj2e , I am not sure what that display could be (maybe you could take a picture and post that?). Meanwhile, it might be worth trying to change the clock face on your Inspire 3 to see if that solves the problem.
The clock face is changed in the app. The instructions are here . If that solves your issue you should be able to go back to your previously chosen clock face if you prefer.
It is also always worth giving your Fitbit a restart whenever your Fitbit is not behaving as expected, as a simple restart can shut down any background activities and fix any minor glitches.

Thanks, ChatGPT had the answer fortunately.
it was a frozen screen and the solution was a hard reset which was accompanied by a iTunes video link. All fixed.
