Inspire 3 is flickering between screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The fitbit starts randomly scrolling through screens getting stuck bouncing back and forth between the home clock screen and whatever it's scrolling to. This is usually going to the last menu I used (adding activity or changing settings) but will happen any time, not necessarily connected to recent use.  It will vibrate and light up switching quickly between home screen and whatever feature it's switching to. I can't get it to respond to anything I do, and have to take it off for 5 or 10 min as the flashing and vibrating is too distracting. Eventually it stops on it's own and I can get into the settings to restart. Is there a way to correct this? It started a few weeks ago happening only once or twice, but has happened multiple times this week now.

Hi there, @christina__mc. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear about your Inspire 3's behavior, I understand your concern. I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've tried syncing and restarting. The restart is hard to access while the glitch is happening, but I can restart once it stops. But the glitch happens again a day or two later. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from starting? This is a newer issue that didn't use to happen.

@christina__mc Thanks for following the steps I recommended.

Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have an Inspire 3 and report that the screen is flickering, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.

This form is only meant for you to use, so let me know once you’re done. Click here to get access to it.
