Inspire 3 not charging

I tried to charge my fitbit inspire 3, but it said I have to update software.   When I tried to update software said phone needs to be fully charged.

I then disconnected fitbit from App now it will not sync

 have managed to update app, but fitbit watch is dead. It is not charging or syncing with phone
