I’ve had my Inspire 3 for 5 months. It worked perfectly tracking my exercise sessions showing my time in different heart rate zones. Since getting a new iPhone 15 Pro it is no longer showing zone minutes: it classifies all my zone minutes as ‘below zone’ (which they are not). I’ve read similar posts on here (dating back to 2019). I’ve followed the ‘reset 3 times with 60 sec pause’ instructions etc. It is still not working properly. It’s very frustrating- should I just get an Apple Watch which will surely better synch ?

Hello, @Novemberleaf Welcome to the community.
Thank you for letting me know about this situation with the Active Zone minutes tracked in your Inspire 3. You can earn active minutes through 10 minutes or more of continuous moderate-to-intense activity.
Fitbit devices calculate active minutes through metabolic equivalents (METs). This metric, which factors in your body mass, is used to estimate exercise intensity. METs are calculated through a ratio, check more about this here.
Things like how to wear your band may impact the calculation of this, I recommend you double check this article just to make you sure you're wearing the band correctly.

Thanks for your response. As stated in my question I’ve been using my Inspire 3 Fitbit for 5 months (and the Charge HR for a few years before that). I have never had a problem before. I know how to wear my band and I know which exercises should generate ‘fat’ ‘cardio’ and ‘peak’ zone minutes and they have stopped appearing.

@Voxlisa you are absolutely correct. I hadn’t realised the extent of the change. I’ve been hobby into my daily activities wondering why they are suddenly just text based with no colour charts. I was doubting my sanity - was I selecting the wrong activity from the Home Screen: but I knew I wasn’t. Why would Google invest in Fitbit only to kill it off ?!

I am agreeing with you on this. I’m getting so frustrated with all of the changes Google has made (for the worse) that I’m also checking out other tracker brands to switch too. The different heart zones that one is in while exercising is important to see…it helps to let us know where to improve performance for whatever our goals are. Why do they have to mess with something that everyone has liked for years! They are ruining it for everyone. I’ve always liked the Fitbit (when it was more accurate) and that they had the slim trackers. I don’t want a big watch tracker on my wrist…especially when I am working out and sleeping. Hopefully, someone there will come to their senses and reverse the changes before they start losing too many customer and fans of FitBit…

I completely agree - I don’t want a tracker for emails etc. The slim Fitbit is perfect: let’s hope they return it to it’s original purpose.

I first noticed the heart rate info during exercise was missing today. I think it was there yesterday. My iPad did an update last night and I don’t know if is linked to that. Going to check if iPhone has “old” version.
dont understand why this would be taken out of app. Do you get it if you have Premium and if so why not explain that???

Hello @Jackson74
Sorry you’ve lost your HR data too !
I don’t have Premium so could not comment if it’s still available on Premium.

Im so glad I’m not the only one upset and frustrated about the update. I even resulted to the text support but they couldn’t do anything about it. It was working fine for me last week and it changed out of nowhere. I had brought the Fitbit for that exact reason to notice the different active zones my heart rate was in between exercises. Now it’s a bland text based look with just the titles of peak, vigorous, moderate, and light stages. I always looked forward to the color graph it showed before when it was just as simple as under zone, fat burn and cardio, is there anyway Fitbit can please bring this back?

Hopefully enough people will complain and they will reinstate it otherwise Fitbit will see a gradual decline of customers.

I am super disappointed as well. The Fitbit has lost all its attraction for me without the heart rate tracking details. Now it is just an expensive watch I have to charge regularly. I’m thinking of buying something different. Any suggestions?

I have this same problem. @Fitbit what is going on? Why doesn’t anyone from fitbit answer? Friday heart rate zone graph was in exercise. No it’s gone on Sunday! No changes to my phone. Logged in and out. Arghhhhhh

@Lia35h
below the text there is a line graph which shows HR during the exercise - admittedly you have to press to get a read out of the max HR but it is there.

Absolutely agree. I used the graphs of excercise extensively and think the table is totally rubbish. Knowing I have 27 zone minutes tells me nothing about when and how. BRING BACK THE GRAPHS

Thanks for this tip, I checked it out! You know what else is you can do too, is when you share the exercise to the community, it automatically shows the color graphs and the heart rate zones like before. Also each time you get a notification from Fitbit whether you hit or your 2 or 3 day goal, the graphs show up in all color with the heart rate zones as well. I just can’t understand how that all still exists in the background so then why not change it back to the way it was?

Hello @AngGon21
thank you for the additional info. Can you clarify your statement below: I’ve just checked my notifications are on for goals etc but I don’t get this. Also do you receive the notification via email ?
“each time you get a notification from Fitbit whether you hit or your 2 or 3 day goal, the graphs show up in all color with the heart rate zones as well”
