Hi Yojana,
Thank you for reply but I don't think you have read my post,. Issue is that it is using GPS, how do I know? Because it shows (traces) the distance I have travelled on the map in the Fitbit app. It just the distance is wrong (i.e. the actual kilometers) , how do I know? I was running on an athletics field which is 400m, yet Fitbit shows 220 meters per lap (on average). Then, if I export the data from Fitbit app, that is the data that Fitbit collected while I was running and import into Strava it shows the correct distance. I have had a look in the older forums, this problem goes back at least 4 years ago for other devices. How is this possible, you are a fitness company, how can you not get this basic thing right? Please see below:
Lap 1 - Fitbit shows 0.17 of Kilometer (this is despite correctly showing full lap which is 0.4 of Kilometer)
Lap 2 - Fitbit app showing total travelled of 0.47 (470 meters) when it should be 0.8 (800 metres, which is 400+400), this repeats lap after lap and instead of 5k its showing 2.84k
I now export the data from Fitbit into Strava and this what it is showing, correctly 5k, which is 12.5 laps

Ok so I found a fix!!!
So what you do is, you take your Inspire 3 with the receipt to a store you bought it from and then explain what is happening and politely request to get a credit so you can buy a Garmin watch. My son had his for years without any issues like this, I stubbornly kept using Fitbit.
What amazes me is that a company that used to make car navigation is now wiping floor with Fitbit and chipping away at your niche market share (fitness oriented people). I could understand if it was due to Google purchasing Fitbit and messing it all up. But when you see a post from from 4 years ago (yes 4 years!), https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Charge-Trackers/GPS-Connected-Run-Wrong-distance-and-wrong-pac... with exactly the same problem I have experienced you kind off begin to wonder why would I bother supporting company like that. So there it is after 5 years of using Fitbit, ill take my money elsewhere.

You seem to be asking for an answer from fitbit, yet you are addressing the c minute of fitbit users.
Many things including clouds can affect GPS. I even find my Garmen showing the wrong location, however Garmin assumes that I am on a road.

@AndreiJ you found the fix by yourself. As you experienced the problem isn't on GPS (that appears rather good) but on the absurd distance calculation algorithm that Fitbit decided to implement and that, despite the many reports and complains by users, never bother to correct or even acknowledge.

its nothing to do with clouds. GPS is working just as it should, as you can see from my screen shots it traces the correct distance on the map that it gets from GPS but absurdly calculates wrong distance. If I extract the data fila from Fitbit into any other app it will show correct distance. This appears to be a legacy algorithm entrenched somewhere deep in the code (I suspect its to do with stride length) which for whatever reason is still causing problems despite complaints from years ago.
