If you currently use "Active Minutes" as a means to track your exercise, this is replaced by "Zone Mins" on Inspire 3. This can only be tracked if you wear your FitBit as a watch, not if you clip it to your clothes. I have raised it with FitBit and they are looking into it but I'm not hopeful as they pitch Zone Mins as a major feature.

If you are upset about not tracking "Active Minutes" you are a few years and and several models late to the game.
From What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?
If you are intent of seeing Active minutes, they were still show in the fitbit.com dashboard last I checked.

Active minutes may not be the most accurate but it is still an effective form of accountability, and something that can be tracked without having to wear the tracker as a watch. You are right that the Active Mins are on the Dashboard but I've never looked at that until I just went to check. Maybe I have to have the website as a shortcut on my phone as a workaround. Not great UX though!
I just don't understand why they couldn't leave it as a feature when they offer the clip-on option.
(Update) - tried adding the Dashboard as a Shortcut on my phone but it doesn't work as it just comes up as an invalid page then you have to select My Dashboard from the menu so it becomes a 2 step process. 😞

@nms1 Fitbit follows CDC and WHO recommendations for physical activity. Active zone minutes help you reach the current activity recommendations. Active minutes use a lower heart rate in its zones. Active minutes also follow an abandoned recommendation of minimum of 10 minutes to start counting. Fitbit won't be adding it to the On Body option because the whole concept is out of date.

It may be outdated but it is better than nothing so I don't see why Fitbit couldn't leave it in there for those of use who don't want to wear our tracker on our wrist. I've upgraded but now have to go to the website to track.

@nms1 You can see this information on your Fitbit app with several taps. You will see it in the format you are used to seeing. The steps sound scary, but they work. Tap on your profile picture > Account Settings > Delete Data > Active Minutes > Tap on the blue REVIEW YOUR DATA (only). Tap on your Today icon in the lower tray to go back in one step. I believe this is faster than the web dashboard and you will see all your data in a familiar format.

Thanks but it's not really quicker. I've now set the Dashboard up as a shortcut on my phone. Every now and again I have to log back into the Dashboard but it seems to be working now.

The new thing I got from this is that apparently Zone minutes will not be tracked without heart rate. I suppose applies to Inspire 3 also, but for my experience for Inspire 2, I would think that would be awkward for someone who might want to switch between wrist and clip modes, how the app would handle that. I can't imagine it would show both both Zone and Active Minutes. So if you switched mid-day, it seems you would never reach that goal.

I'm currently switching from clip to wrist mode and back. It does track both Zone minutes and Active Mins, but if you add anything manually, say a strength workout, it seems to be double-counting somewhere. I am still trying to figure out exactly what is going on and how to avoid it.

I still feel that the active minutes are not being tracked correctly. Today I wore my fitbit on my wrist when I walked the dog for 30 mins as well as when I worked out for a out an hour and walked home from the gym which takes about 15 mins. That gave me 234 active zone minutes then 175 active minutes. There is no way that I have 175 minutes under the 'old' way of measuring. The maximum I can get is 140 minutes.

@nms1 I apologize if I'm misreading what you wrote. You wrote "add anything manually" in your Oct 18 post. To me, that means you tapped on the "+" sign on the exercise tile, moved the toggle to LOG, then manually added the activity. This does double count activity. You should only do this if you weren't wearing your Fitbit at all.
I don't have enough information to give a firm answer to your Oct 29 post. I'm not sure where the 140 minutes is coming from. But I can clarify something about these devices that go from clip to wrist mode. Your Inspire 3 doesn't record active minutes and active zone minutes separately. It applies the rules to you entire day's activity.
